Is The Wii U Doomed?
Many people already know that the Wii U has been having a tough time with poor sales and lack of games but will this really effect the Wii U in the future?
It may be true that the Wii U is not selling well, it maybe true that it is lacking 3rd party support but for those who think the Wii U is doomed you may want to look at the calender. The reason why the Wii U has not been doing so well because it was never meant to be released so early or so the theory goes. Since Microsoft and Sony had announced their new generation of consoles Nintendo was stuck with a sticky position of having to release it early. Which is why the Wii U 'failed' none of this means its going to keep on failing.
The PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and 1 are not looking forward to the release of Super Smash Bros. + many others including: Mario Kart 8, Monolith Softs' X, Bayonetta 2. The reason is obvious, they are or will be system sellers. 2012 was never the year for the Wii U 2013 was not so bad but 2014 will be the Wii U's chance to get back on top. Mario Kart Wii itself sold around 35.26 million copies worldwide as of December 31, 2013 (wikipedia). Mario Kart alone was the Wii's second best seller just imagine them all releasing together around the same time? Well you don't need to imagine, they are and they're coming fast.
